Sore throat

Sage gargle, thyme honey, and not talking. Look at the throat if you can.

A throat that is closing, drooling, or a child who will not swallow their own spit — airway, not herbs. White patches plus a sandpaper rash used to be scarlet fever: keep them in and watch the breath.

Do this

  1. 1.Warm sage tea as a gargle, plus a pinch of salt.
  2. 2.Thyme or garlic honey by the teaspoon, slow.
  3. 3.Self-heal tea as a milder gargle if sage is too much.
  4. 4.Soft food. Steam.

A raw throat that hates to swallow. Cool tea, gargle, spit or sip.

Thyme (or garlic) honey

Herb steeped in honey. Spoon for a cough, or into hot water for a sore throat.
