honey
Thyme (or garlic) honey
Herb steeped in honey. Spoon for a cough, or into hot water for a sore throat.
No honey under age one. Garlic honey is strong — not a jar you give by the tablespoon for fun.
- Time
- Overnight, better in a week
- Yield
- 1 cup
Method
- 1.Loosely fill a half-pint with chopped fresh thyme, or 4–5 crushed garlic cloves (wait 10 minutes after crushing).
- 2.Cover with raw honey. Stir out air pockets. Lid.
- 3.A day on the counter, then a cool shelf. Garlic honey may fizz a little — burp the lid. Use within a month, or fridge.
