Pure white amanita. Cup at the base, ring on the stem. Liver-killing. Looks like a button mushroom if you are careless.
All-white gilled mushroom. A skirt-like ring on the stem and a sack-like cup (volva) at the base — dig it up to see it. White spore print. Gills free of the stem.

Amatoxins. Symptoms may wait 6–12 hours, then seem to improve, then liver failure. There is no home treatment.

Any suspected amanita bite of a meal: ER now, not later. Bring the mushroom.
