Onion cough syrup
The old farm cough pot: sliced onion, sugar or honey, overnight. You already have the onion.
This is a cough soother, not an antibiotic. Honey rule still applies.

- 8–12 hours

- A few spoonfuls of syrup
Method
- 1.Slice a yellow onion into a bowl. Cover the layers with sugar, or honey if they are over one.
- 2.Lid. Sit at room temperature overnight. In the morning you have a thin syrup.
- 3.Spoon off the liquid. Compost the onion or cook it.
